Session Drummer x64 No Sound after hitting 'play'

So here's the problem,

I was working on drums tracks for a few hours yesterday using Session Drummers 'step sequencer'.
Everything was working fine, no real problems.
All of the sudden the drums stopped working on playback and even when using my KeyRig to manually play the drums there was no sound.

Today I've been trying to figure it out with no luck.
I believe everything is routed properly because when I open a new Session Drummer track and select my kit everything works fine. The KeyRig is functioning and Session Drummer is responding properly. But when I load my pattern and hit play, the sound on my drum track is dead, the KeyRig no longer makes sound, and my range meter doesn't light up either.
When the track plays it shows the drum kit in Session Drummer being played but still no sound.
Like I said, the problem only persists after hitting 'play'.

Please help!

Hitting 'play' is not the issue as I can manually record a drum track with my KeyRig and have it play back without an issue.

try resting the midi engine, if that fails, close/open the project.

I'm not sure how to test the midi engine.

But when I close and reopen everything it works but only while using the KeyRig.
The second I load any saved pattern I loose all sound from Session Drummer. My audio tracks work fine and all my other synths work fine as well. It's only 'Session Drummers saved patterns' that are giving me trouble

    So another update.

Only the patterns that I have created myself using the Step Sequencer don't play back.
All the other saved patterns that come with Sonar work fine

Also - after trying one of my patterns and having no luck I try and play one of Sonars patterns again (as it worked before) but that too is now silent.

try right clicking on your clip and select bounce to clips, this will turn your step seq. clip into a midi clip.
this may possibly be a reason.
im still a little confused here about what's happening.

try opening a whole new project first to make sure its not a data issue.
try inserting session drummer and verify that it works correctly.

if it does than its some setting you may have moved.
or maybe you've routed the session drummer vsti to another track.

    check all your I/O's (inputs/outputs)
make sure the midi track is indeed feed by the midi.

in the meantime here's a few videos I made on session drummer, basic midi, Exc.
just watch and see if it all looks like what your doing is correct.

When I select 'bounce to clips' it seems like nothing happens.

In a new project the same thing happens. The KeyRig functions properly and the drum patterns that come with Sonar work fine.
It's when I load a pattern that I've saved myself everything stops working (that's THE problem).

I do recall changing the 'key' from C to E. I wasn't sure what that meant but my songs in E so I changed it. I now understand that that 'key' isn't about the song at all. It has something to do with the signal/ connection midi needs. (big time newb but I'm learning). Could this by my problem? How do I change it back?

All my inputs/ outputs are fine. My KeyRig runs directly to my computer.

I'm just about to watch the first video now. Thanks!

this video shows how to set session drummer up with each drum on separate channels(kick on one, snare on 2, and so on.)
this is how you should be setting SD3 if you want it like that.
if you want all your drums on a stereo tracks then in the preference menu that comes up right after you click insert/session drummer 3 you select "simple instrument track"

now keep in mind, your midi may be on the wrong track, watch the other video to see the track you want your midi to be on.
you don't need midi on every track, only the main session drummer midi track.

also in the other video I posted before it shows how to set up your keyboard using session drummer to tap out your parts using the keyboard.
watch the video to make sure you have it set up correctly.
