Session drummer groove clips

I moved a 4 bar clip from session drummer into a midi track. I expanded it to 24 bars. Even though you can see the events looped for the 24 bars, it will only play the 4 bars of the clip and go silent. It's still playing, but there's no sound after a couple of bars.

Any suggestions?

do it again, when you have the 4 bars showing/try right clicking it/select groove clip looping.
the try to streach it 24 bars.
session drummers midi groove are not all groove clips by default.
you can tell a grove clip by the corners of the clip,if they are rounded/its a groove clip.
if they are square.its a just a typical midi clip.

    go have fun.

It does expand to a groove clip and I can see all the events. It just wont play past the 4 bars that were in the original groove program while in session drummer.

I tried what you said anyway. It didn't work, and now it wont play the clip I just moved into CW even though It displays the midi events.

I'm not really sure EXACTLY,whats going on either, but crap like this, used to happen to me ALL the time, until I spent many more hours with the program, and BANG,it all just works pretty good now.

This is NOT to say,I know the whole deal, cause ABSOLUTELY NOT!,it's just there was a while where everytime I tried to do something seemingly simple, things like what your'e experiencing would happen, and then, later user error becomes more and  more a thing of the past.

Let's hope some other's who know EXACTLY whats going on,answers, sorry it ain't me,but encouragement can help a little.

It seems what chuck says should fix it.  Import the groove, click on it and hit Control-L ..this turns it into a Groove clip and you can drag it out to repeat

If the clip doesn't have rounded corners, its not a Groove Clip.

The clips I imported ARE groove clips. I can expand them and the phrases loop.

It's not playing the midi events. At first it only plays the one phrase I imported, then it just goes silent. (but keeps running).

After a bit, it won't even play the phrase I imported, or, if I move the cursor to play at a different time on an expanded clip, It will pay it as if it's paying the 4/8 etc phrase, then it goes silent.

I figured out a workaround, I just made a new midi track and imported the clips to that, then I just route it to the software synth.
