Setting so second take doesn't record over first?

I'm using Sonar for on-set movie filming and after i do one take it automatically goes back to the start. When i press record for the next take, it records over the first.

is there a setting that will keep that from happening so i don't have to spend time finding the end of the first take and re-placing the playhead?

Thanks.

    yes, look in: options/global

for like, 'rewind to now on stop' or something like that. (uncheck it)

    and,
probably, options/audio for the other overwriting thing. But, if you get the first one, then it;s sort of muute.

I would imagine you found it by now but as Tim says uncheck the "rewind to now marker"
If your wanting to return to the begining and start a new track go to transport/ record options and check the "store takes in seperate tracks"

Transport>Record Options select Store Takes In Separate Tracks if you want to keep looping and recording.

If it's rewinding to the start of the project on stop and you don't want it to, Tim and Cactus have the solution.
