Setting up Remote SL Compact to run Sonar X1 Producer

How do I get Sonar X1 Producer to run on my Novation Remote SL Compact 25 key MIDI controller? I'd like to control the transport, the mixer, and my VST plugins.

    Hi ndiniz,

You should be able to control the transport, mixer, and VST plugins quite easily with your Remote SL Compact by using the latest version of Automap as found in the following link:

    http://us.novationmusic.c...s/3976/automap-4.3.exe

Once installed, open Automap and go to the Software Setup tab.  Select Sonar from the list on the left and select Remote SL from the drop down menu in the center of the window.  Then follow the instructions in the setup guide.

Once this is done,  make sure you have the Remote SL set to template 38 (automap template).  You will then be able to access the automap modes with the bottom right row of buttons on the Remote SL.  Press the row select button for the bottom right row to display this.  You will then choose "Mixer" for mixer control and "FX" to switch control to your VST plugins.

If you have any difficulties, be sure to contact Novation tech support through our website:
