Setting up a project - Priorities & procedures

I don't have much experience with computers. The way things are explained in the GTP3 manual assumes the basic language is understood. For me this creates procedure problems mostly by not doing something that would have made things go without a hitch. I see huge benifits for the person that knows the tricks and quirks of GTP3's system and I realize it's going to take time. But the forum is the shortcut. I'm asking those out there that have developed a system of recording in GTP3. Please tell me and others some sure fire ways to bypass the snags and be able to focus on the creating music. There is a process that will work for the masses! Thanks to all whom have helped ing the past. Steve and Doc specially

    Thanks Bill

Before we get into the 'work flow' thing, we have to get you working with loops without all the glitches and pops you mentioned and recording audio without any problems.

Can you do us some screenshots of the three (or four) tab windows you get in GT from Options>Audio.

If you need a hand with capturing screenshots and posting them Bill, check out this post (#22) I did recently for Alan: http://forum.cakewalk.com/fb.asp?m=1529936

    Oh yes it does!

Hold it until the curson starts blinking - that shows you've saved the image to the clipboard.

Now you have to paste it into a program that can handle PNG files - I use the excellent Paint.net for this.

As to your specs, what would really be helpful is if you could type them into your signature Bill, alongside the Soundclick link.

Anyway, if you've free for a while, I'm ok to walk you through it here if you want mate.

    Bill,

I just sent you a PM with my account contact info. Oh just for clarification I prefer Single malt, single barrel bourbon. Preferably Blantons, but if you can't find that I'll settle for Jack Daniel's Single Barrel.
