Setup and Recording Midi generating plugins like Catanya and Harmony Improvisator?

Hi -

One question as I haven't gotten my head around if it's possible to use and record midi generating plugins, so ....

1. How do I setup the use of midi generating plugins like Catanya and Harmony Improvisator? 
2. How do I record the midi of plugins that output midi like Catanya and Harmony Improvisator?

    Here is some nice info about getting midi plugins to work in Sonar [ http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=262201 ], plus the 7 aliens website has a video tutorial for setting up sonar here  [ http://www.7aliens.com/product-catanya-in-sonar.php ] 

    Helpful for sonar, but I am looking to do this inside project5. Thanks in advance.

    The only way I have been able to get Midi plugins to work in P5 is by using VST sub-host programs like KORE.
