Sevens - Scratch Track - First One Post ARC!

Would love to get some feelings on the groove, vocal and stuff. The music track isn't mine. I just did the melody, vocal and the lyrics.

Had to pull this back. Thanks for the comments guyss.

Pitch issues aside, I like it. I would think about pulling back the mids (500-800hz) on the vocals when you finish it.

Yeah - I think I'm just never going to be a non-pitchy singer. It's quite frustrating I can tell you.

    What will that do James?

Sounds pretty good. I suspect the pitch issues are simply a matter of rehearsal and takes. So what is your opinion of ARC? Do you find the room more neutral now? Are the sounds more defined? Look forward to the polished version.

I think you have something to work with here joshua. Yes, the vocal is pitchy, but as foxwolfen mentioned, it may be just that you need to practice the tune more. I can relate, trust me. I won't comment on the mix, as it is obviouusly unfinished (right?)..? Lol. I'd say put some more work into it and see what happens. There could be a gem in there.

Yeah it seems everything is smoother. Which to my ears means that i can hear seperation much better. Before arc, everything I did to the kick and bass only seemed to just make it louder, but not really seperate it.

So - hopefully. I got my fingers crossed. The above song was already mixed, so I didn't get to really do anything on that but lay a vocal on top of it.

I agree with you on takes. It just bugs me that it seems like others can sing tunes faster or have a better natural sense of pitch. I wrote this melody (twice) yesterday and laid it. So I'm not giving myself enough time to get it down...
