Severed Vesper's new song after 3 years (no, not metal)

I joined this forum a couple of years ago sharing my absolutely crude recordings using only computer headsets for mics and audacity for DAWs. I've stopped making songs for this project, and focused on my metal projects and stuff. But since i needed to make a score for a school film, i figured the song i jammed up wouldn't be so bad to put under this project, just to finally bring it back to life.

I'm putting up another track true to the sound of this project, but this one's a jazzy/lounge type:

I apologize for the youtube compression.

Thanks!

To my furry ears the Kit is a little loud and sounds in a different space to the guitar.  The level also fluctuates quite dramatically.  That is as I said to furry ears.

The base tune sounds fine just refining the mix.

    Thanks for sharing.

    @Wookie

Thanks Wookie! You are correct, they are on a different sound space as the guitar, which i actually forgot to address. I have to fix that. The songs wasn't compressed though, so that explains the fluctuations.

    Not bad Miggy.

Address the drums and maybe some change ups with some more melody and it could be very nice.

Good to see you around again.

nice chordal cadences in this one. sounds a bit like a Roland Jazz chorus that you're playing through so if it's an emulator it has nice air about it.  ethereal and carefree sounding. kinda get this image of Seurat's A Sunday Afternoon On The Island Of La Grande Jatte

there is some volume fluctuation that may be made more prominent w/ uTube codec compression. address that & also cut the drums (brushes sound good) back a tad and room verb them a bit to blend w/ guitars.

melody in guitar line is nice and lazy.

    dig it.

You've come up with a lovely chord progression and a mellow drum track.  A few tweaks and this will shine.  I believe you already know how to deal with this, and I look forward to hearing it again.

    All the best,

I agree the brushes are slightly off beat , some fixes and this light tune will shine .

Best of luck , its almost there -James
