Sextilis the six month or in our case the eighth month.

We come to the six month of the Roman Calendar, Sextilis, though with this track it is more a reflection of what my month of August has been like.

Thanks for listening.

Nice use of field recordings Wookiee, they fit well.

Has a nice touch of Oakey and Moroder type sounds in there too, with the sequence.

Nice one Wookie! For some reason during the synth parts, I could hear a soothing female voice in my mind saying stuff like, 'Now relax you shoulders, relax your lats, relax your pectoralis...' Then all of a sudden there was a thunderclap and I was like, did I relax too much?... Checked me drawers, all clean!...

Well done with the environmental captures!

I liked what I thought was you playing a Deodato record on a turntable, backwards, and messing with the rpm's to give it a warble or a wow or a flutter.  That may not what be what you did here, but it's what I did in college when I was supposed to be studying.

Super clear mix as usual. Whatever you are doing on the master bus is really working for ya.

    cheers,

Thank you Jrod for the listen, glad nothing untoward happened to the draws

Thank you Lynn, yes the weather here has been strange too.

Thank you Tom, that is Arturia's Jupiter 8 V with some automation on the second VCO's frequency.  As for the Master Bus just SONAR PC modules Tom from the top down, N-Type Channel with a touch of drive, the PC4K S Buss Compressor to tame the peaks but not squish them, a little Quad curve EQ in pure mode to temper the bottom end and give a little top end lift/air, The Tape Emulator.

Like the field recording at the start, every time I try and capture a thunderclap it never obliges or it's a weedy sounding one :)

John, I have been battling A-Fib and blood thinners for the last  few weeks and no matter what goes on it is on my mind.  Nothing bad I don't think.  But...... I actually escaped into your song for the 4+ minutes and didn't think about anything.  THAT is a gift.  Thanks.
