Sharpies anyone?

What are your favorite Sharpies for studio work? Color? Point size? Brand? I'm thinking about upgrading and would like everyone's input.

    Fire,
Its a felt tip marker, think "Marks-o-lot".
    PdlStl,
Regular Black, bought a bunch with the "fine" tip on the other end and the little cover (for the fine tip) always "sticks" in the big cover.
Evidently you are a Pedal Steel player?
[fire, notice I said "Steel", without the "G" word ]

Yeah I know what a Sharpie marker is.   I thought I missed the boat or some other kind of sharpie.

Yes, I'm a Pedal Steel "Guitar" player (grin).  I can make it (realistically) sound like a dobro with my Goodrich "MatchBro" unit, too.

Yep, been playing pedal steel for for thirty-five years. And Tom, I'm a rarity in the world of pedal steel players...I understand intonation! :) I had a MatchBro for a while but found that it really sounded realistic when I got rid of the MatchBro and got a Scheerhorn... Cheers, Earl

I've fooled Bluegrass pickers with my MatchBro.  I get people coming up to the stage, now, wondering where the dobro is.

I'll agree it's not like the "real thing" but it's close.  And, you have to think dobro when you are playing, not use it as another effect.

Well no one will ever confuse us with a dobro, but when I dime the 50 she breathes fire like the best Les Paul.

But seriously, I wish I had the talent and discipline to play the Pedal Steel.
My hat's off to both of you!

I've got lots of Sharpies.  My wife bought a pack at Sam's Club and it's enough to last until the next "millenium".

I started out on a used D-6 Oahu lap steel that my parents bought for me around 1950. (That tells my age - I just turned 74 Sunday).

I use both the fine tip for writing lots of words and the "fat" tip for making bold words stand out.  I use different colors for different things.  I love sharpies!
