She is a Hard Woman
The idea for this song came from a TV show that I was watching. One of the characters was having a bit of a tiff with his girlfriend and started complaining. Oh well, it seemed like a good idea at the time. Because SoundClick requires a genre identification I put it under Blues. However, it is more of a pop, soft, Bluesabilly number --- sort of ????? Awww, it's just music. I hope that you enjoy it and as always comments, suggestions, crit's, and donations(?) will be appreciated. Thanks! This has a catchy tune, good lyrics (nicely sung for this style). I also think the mix is spot on, nothing jumps out as wrong to these ears anyway.

Sounds like you're talking about one of my ex's . Catchy tune, Freddy... the chorus sort of has a Buddy Holly vibe to it which is cool.

Cool vocals nice and up front. I listened to it on my decent headphones and thought the bass might be too prominent, maybe just a hair. In fact, when you listen to the first ten seconds, does your bass signal seem to have "hair" on it? Did you run your bass through a distortion plugin? Or, do I need new headphones? :) you rawk this. -Tom

You're a productive guy, Freddy. I remain a big fan. this song is just one of many reasons. I'd do the guitars a little brighter, but, then, I'm no Freddy Ybor City Strut's a lot of fun too

Freddy, this is raw, cool, funky blues. It reminds me of San Francisco in the 60's. That touch of delay on the vocals at the back of the song is a nice touch, but the best part for me is the way you own your songs. I think I could recognize you in a crowded room.

Hey Freddy, this is a good demo of your song -- the guitars sound terrific -- good vocal -- and everything in the mix sits just right. A pleasure to hear... Allan =-=-=

Hi Adrian. I appreciate your taking the time to listen and comment. Thanks very much for the kind words. Hi Phil. I think that we have all know someone like the subject of this song. Thanks for the kind works and although unintentional, I'll I take a Buddy Holly vibe any time. BTW, I really like the song on your new post. Mark -- thank you very much my friend. I appreciate your encouragement!!! If I may, I might contact you about an old song that I pulled out and need some help with. First I need to find your e-mail address. And may the force be with you. Hi Tom. Thanks for your kind comments and observations. You have a good ear. I couldn't remember what I did on this song, so I pulled up the working file and what do you know ---- no distortion, but I did put a wee bit of compression on the bass. Maybe too much ---- eh? Keep your headphones. Thanks again. Hey Mark (mcourter). Thanks for your comments. I'll go back and have a listen to the guitars. Once I'm done with a song I usually don't listen to it for quite some time (e.g., its the journey not the destination) unless I'm trying to fix a suggestion received on this forum. Thanks also for listening to Ybor City Strut. I felt a bit "Looney Toons" while doing that one but oh well, I was having a lot of fun. Hey Lynn. Thank you for your very kind comments. Sometimes I find that in doing a particular song I just plain old have a hard time trying to get through it and the product shows it. Other times the songs seem easy to write and develop themselves (like this one). I like the easy ones 'cause their more fun. Thanks again my friend and great work on the new song that you posted. Hey Allan. Thank you for the kind words and encouragement. As always your keen perceptions are appreciated.

Another clever and all-around well done song from the Freddy Factory. You've got this bluesy edged vibe thing down.

Hey Freddy J, This was a really fun listen. I like your honest, open sound and the live feel of the whole song. The timbre of your voice is very pleasant and the chord changes and harmony when the chorus comes in are super! Thanks very much for this tune! LJ

Freddy I've listened to several of your songs and have to say I really like the whimsical (if that's the right word) tone to them. Sounds like you're having fun. I appreciate good guitar playing too. Count me in as one of your fans.
