Shells and Star Streams

This is a track from EP orbital motion https://soundcloud.com/biodiode/shells-and-star-streams

News on the album, all 10 tracks are pretty much recorded. I am now going through putting the spit and polish on them in the mix and balancing levels.

Pleasant track Adrian something to chill-out to in the heat.

Did you catch Friday nights late night Prom, excellent a mixture of electronic and orchestral music.

With a purely electronic track "An Improvisation with Four Sequences"  available for download on most normal viewing platforms.

Very nice.  Love the sense of motion in the rhythm.  Great use of pads, especially the spacey bridge around the 2 minute mark.  Good variations in melody to keep us engaged. Thanks for sharing!

Love that bass on this one. I think that you could allow a little space between phrases with a shorter release on the synth, but that's my only nit. Great job Adrian!

Quite the soundscape. This reminds me of one of the songs from Donnie Darko. I think it's that movie. The melody in and around the 2min mark is very similar to an REM song. It's all very nicely done. Good ambient music.

I remain a fan, BD. This one takes me back to my electronica days, when I was listening to a lot of Larry Fast and the like. Over time, I got bored with that stuff and moved on. But whereas that era featured mostly repetitive rhythms and arps, your stuff (and Wookie's, too) shows what can happen once you move past the fascination with synthetic sounds and get back to musicality and dynamics. Keep up the good work.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

Thank you all, sorry I did not catch this earlier I've been otherwise distracted. For some reason, this forum has stopped sending e-mails when a reply has been posted.

Unfortunately, I didn't catch the late night proms Wookiee but listening to it now on iPlayer as I type.

Well done Adrian. I don't know why synth sounds aren't used for bass more often. I've always thought it was a very cool sound. I really like the way Devo used it back in the day.

    Thank you Doug

Thanks Bill, I just enjoyed hearing what Tangerine Dream did in the 80's with those ratchet bassline sequences. Some of the improvised concerts they did where sheer magic for these. Just glad I can get Omnisphere to do a similar effect.

    Hi

This is an electronic song with a nice melody.  Great clean production.  At times it has a Celtic feel to it.
