Shift midi an octave?


I admit to being a bit bass deaf and I hear better if I record an octave higher than it should be.
Is there a quick way to drop an instrument an octave after recording? Lasso and drag the whole track down in PRV?

    Sure, you can do that. You can also use the Process > Transpose function or even the Event Inspector...

    @48/24 & 128 buffers latency is 367 with offset of 38.

    If it happened to be a MIDI track, you could also transpose down in the (edited) Track Inspector.

    When I transpose I use the Key Widget in the Track Inspector. 

    The Track Inspector in X1/X2 for MIDI is where you go for changing parameters for a track. Everything is there.

    I've got Transpose mapped to ctrl + t, mainly because I use this function quite a lot during the composition phase of a project

    i agree that using the destructive transpose is the better option because if i want to export as midi the transpodiyion options in the track controls do not get applied upon export

    Good comment.  In my situation, I only export midi for my own use, so I just reapply any transpositions as needed.
