Nice melodic song Bert. Don't hide your voice away in the back there, it's fine.

Agreed the vocal could easily come forward in this fine mix, thanks for sharing.

Vocals were a little too front and center to my ears. Like the song regardless.

David, Thanks for the comment on the song- its an unusual and personal of tune for me, and I had no idea how it would sound to others. Bert

I think there is a good song in here, I like the phrasing of the lyrics, and it's got a catchy chorus. Your lead vocal sounds like you sang it twice, doubling it, which is fine. I thought I heard areas where the first take and second take were fighting each other a little bit. Like a consonant landing at a slightly different time in each of the takes. 1:20 area So you might just slice and dice, or volume dip the one you like the least just at that point. What effects are you using on your vocals? I think you could make some gains there. How about an eq with everything below 250 or 300hz rolled off? Moody Blues-ish it is, cool deal. cheers, -Tom

Have to agree there’s a really nice, well crafted modern pop song in there. Well done. My humble critique FWIW is that it’s hidden behind the wrong production approach. Bring it forward, it’s a great song hiding behind overly spacy, effectived vocal and instrument sound choices. (YMMV and all appropriate disclaimers yada , yada, yada...)
