Shortcut keys not working in Dimension Pro after upgrade to X1

Before, if you wanted to for example place a sustain point, you'd have it highlighted and press S on your keyboard. Now it doesn't work. You can click on the top bar and use a drop down menu, but the other way is much easier. Does anyone know how to get it to work again? I'm thinking there are other features that require keyboard shortcuts, like switching between elements.
