Shortcut to add envelope

Is there a shortcut to add an envelope without having to go to the dropdown menu?  

Many times (like right now) when working with a long/large live recording, I have all toolbars . . . everything . .. . hidden except for the waveform. In order to add an envelope I have to slide over the divider to show the track controls, insert the envelope (usually clip gain or pan for a particular clip) and then re-hide and then go edit.

Previous versions allowed for right-clicking and adding them. 

Any shortcut in X1?  I've searched already . . . I promise!

    it's always been mapped to "V". You can set it up in keyboard bindings if you can't get that to work. But I'm speaking from experience with 8.5 so I don't know X1...

    Do you know what the key-binding option is called?  I'll bind it to something if I can find it.

    Ctrl/Atl E to add. Shift Click to un-ghost.

    FS:  Do you know the name of the key-binding option?  

    I use ctrl-alt E for File>Export>Audio

    ctrl/alt/e didn't work for me i just tried it...
