Ok, good but the voice seems to be in a different space.  Now, honestly, I can't explain that.  It just doesn't seem right but I don't have the skill set to explain that.  If one of the "production" guys hears it maybe they can explain.  It could just be me.  It was tight and there was no mushiness which is present in some live productions.

Definitely sounds live.  Vox sounds muffled... needs more clarity, less low end.

Real nice performances. Not sure how you're recording, if you are recording on separate tracks and have the ability to mix after recording. If that's the case I think you forgot to mix this ;)  If you are stuck with a stereo track of what is performed, I've certainly heard worse live recordings.

Pretty good. I hear Mick Jones play this live once a year approx (he's local) . Vox too loud needs more reverb but heck it's live.

You might try adding reverb for the whole track and do what I do, add wembley stadium crowd samples over it ;)

yeah it's tracked from teh mixer into separate tracks into sonar -- or course being live you have mic bleed though

hey if anyone wants a shot a mixing this one -- you can down loaded it here and post your mix back up in this thread -

I have about 12 or so live mixes to tackle -

here is the link to a zip file in sonarx2 of us doing this live Should I stay or SHould I Go  >> https://copy.com/BJjN8KpjmMKfYOvc

have fun if any of you  decide to give it a shot

or just down load it for giggles I dont mind

Awesome, big thanks Mooch. I won't be able to send you a stellar mix or anything, never claimed to be a competent audio engineer myself, but not often I get to mix all live performed music and this will be extremely educational for me. The mic bleed will be something I need to know how to deal with anyway. I'm interested in learning more about live audio so this will be fun indeed.

Twelve live songs to mix sounds like a great deal of work. I don't really know, but since nothing is really changing much in between songs, wouldn't it be a good idea to make a project template of the mix you nail, and use the same EQ and compression and general level settings?

Sure hope to hear you play some Sax on a few of those ;)
