Should I buy GTP 4?

Hi there,

Sorry for the noobie questions!
I have a couple of q's about guitar tracks pro 4 which I'm considering buying in a few weeks.

Is it possible to have tempo changes within a song?
Alot of the music I make is quite progressive and varies in tempo throughout the track. I'm thinking of laying down my own drum tracks with session drummer with different parts at different tempos etc...

Also, is it possible to punch loop record in GT4 so I can record several takes of a guitar track and layer them up without stopping the recording? I've been searching online and I can't seem to see this listed anywhere in in the features of GT4.

Thanks, I appreciate your help!!

It is possible that You will change the tempo in all the music. As per mine opinion, If You will refer the some reference music in which You will find the tempo as well . I hope that It should be more helpful .

    Hi there,

    Sorry I don't quite understand.
Are you saying its possible for one song to start at say 120bpm, then change to 100bpm half way through, then go back to 120bpm?

I know you can do this in other versions of Sonar with the Tempo Map view. Is this view included in GTP4?

    Thanks again

I bought Guitar Tracks Pro, with no understanding of recording on a PC, but was amazed at the possibilities with it. There are a few freebies in the cakewalk store, and with a few other plugins, I love it! Still trying to figure out a lot! You didnt list what youre working with, if you go up to user control panel,(Signature), you can list your comp. specs., and what ever else you may have going, helps with the people who really know what theyre doing. Good luck!
