I haven't bought it (yet).......can we make it easy for everyone that doesn't have it yet and avoid this whole refund mess by just giving us the free copy?

I think we're at cross purposes. I think you may be referring to the X2 video but I'm referring to a video I made at a track day. Cost me £15000........ I'll dig out the paperwork if I've got a copy. Did you buy it?

There's lots of British Superbike riders trying to get their hands on it. I use different lines to them and they are after a few tips, I ain't telling though.

Dude... I mean Karl... look at all the cool toys on your desk. All the knobs and sliders. Leave it UP!! Cretins like me love to turn knobs... Frank said so.

OK Karl... I am listening now. I like your songs. Was this a joke thread? BTW, you are welcome to come visit Atlanta anytime... I don't think you would like driving on I-285 (the perimeter hwy) at any time on any day... I see young guys on crotch rockets out there all the time.. I wonder how many are still alive and well. Too many high speed lane changes around SUVs and other large trucks will pull up your number sooner than later. I used to ride a Triumph Bonneville 650, in a past life (the 70s) and I know how lucky I am to be here.

Nothing wrong with your songs. You voice sounds like a British version of Victor Krummenacher, and I like Victor's voice, it fits his songs. I still can't help feeling that maybe this is some inside joke thread...

Hey jbow,

You might invite Karl over to Atlanta and introduce him to the Sunday Drive crowd.

Those guys ride the interstate like it's a closed course. It seems like it would be thrilling.

Mike, the weekday after work, "argh, GET OUT OF THE WAY... I have got to get home and do nothing"! crowd is much worse... everyone is in a hurry to go nowhere and most of them are ticked off for no good reason... they are a vicious crowd!
I learned to mind my own business in rush hour traffic, some of those people will follow you, cut you off, and be real jerks. There was one guy who got "cut off" and decided to be a jerk. However the other guy was more of a jerk. He got got in front of the 1st jerk, and when traffic stopped, he got out and emptied his .357 into the other guys engine. Some of the people in big city traffic simply do not care... and you cannot tell who they are. Some of the people anywhere are the same way... but there is an element of, "I didn't see what the guy looked like. Heck, I didn't see anything." in the city.

I get a little scared in Atlanta.

The last time we were coming south on I-85 into town two guys on motorcycles passed us. We were doing 90mph and seemed like the slowest car on the road.

The two cyclists ran up to the tail of a semi and trailer at full speed and then proceeded to do nose wheelies and tail wheelies until the lane cleared and then they went thru the worm hole and disappeared in a flash.

Sometimes all you see is the sound of the doppler effect.

It seems pretty obvious that the police have given up chasing them because they simply can't be caught by anything but a hi-speed camera.

It seems like it must be thrilling to ride out there on the weekends.

I figured you've seen it plenty... but I also agree that the rush hour stuff is way past my country boy threshold of comfort.

I'm thinking that living outside of Tallahassee sometimes seems to fast paced.

:-)

More classic irony, from the master of ignoring his own liabilities...

You villify others from a standpoint of you know more them if seen it happen to such an extent with one individual I even asked if you would apologise for your behaviour, which of course you didn't.  You are cowardly in what you choose to present as on opinion for fear that you will not be liked.  You are condescending beyond belief, bullish and insensitive.  You are incapable of acknowledging a mere suggestion that you are ever wrong and have no capacity for forgiveness.

You twist a situation around to make it look like somebody is mistreating something you've represented and try to play the guilt card.
You've flown off the handle with me on many occasion when you've been totally wide of the mark without retraction or acknowledgement leading me to believe that you must think you are beyond any reproach for any of your actions.

I've seen you treat others exactly the same on many occasion.

Like somebody once wisely said:

"If McQ is working your last nerve then it's obviously your fault."  You initially had a fallout with FBB when you were trying to prove a petty and insignificant point against him remember?

I keep thinking one day you'll cotton on, ever the eternal optimist I am, but when I read about your neice not 'taking advantage of your infinite wisdom'  whilst on a quest to follow a similar career to you I figured you must be beyond any self-reflection at all.  You couldn't work out why she wasn't much interested in what you had to say, I'd suggest much for the same reasons that I'm not.

Hey look McQ Karl is selling a few videos for the efforts put in from his positive outlook, how you doing with marketing your brand of derision?  Perhaps you figure on doing well out of your musical prowess and production skill instead.

My word, what a guy.

I'd really suggest learning about and reflecting on that poem James chose for you because when you understand it's meaning you'll realise you've been given a truly precious gift.

Hi Julein,
Yes, for sure I love the springs.

Did you here that Cherokee Sink was bought buy the state and is now part of the Wakulla Springs State Park? They spent months cleaning the junk out of it and it's real nice now.

I actually live only about 1 mile of dirt trail from Big and Little Dismal. We like to go there because Big Dismal is such a dramatic sight to behold.

For better or for worse, I and a good friend took some National Forest Rangers, who are Federal employees and often get transfered from State to State, out to see River Sinks and show them that it is on their property. They didn't know they had that it existed because the maps were incomplete. Now it is also a park and it has legal parking and access where as before we had to hides our cars or bicycle in and hop a few fences to enjoy it. Some of the old locals wish it was still like that but it's cleaner and easier to enjoy than ever. You may have been to River Sinks and not known it... it's location was passed along word of mouth for many years.

There's a couple dozen more... I'll bet you've been to some of them too.

:-)

best regards,
mike

I don't remember the names of the one we went to. It was not in a park, it was in the woods and was party town. It was probably 1973/74. I was a crazyman back then. I was there for the party, where ever I happened to be.
It is nice to see that the government is now protecting people from having fun at Big Dismal. sigh...

Cherokee was the big hole with the big party. It could get insane in a good-ol-boy sort of way.

River Sinks was cerebral and had smaller pristine sinks with the go-between tunnels and it got insane in a far-out-man sort of way.

:-)

I liked em both but Cherokee some times got scary.

If you are asking my advice, I'd avoid starting arguments and fostering the worst sort of petty disagreements while acting as if you think you are humorous.

You certainly shouldn't expect to dare some body to go listen to your music while boasting of your ability to hear when stuff is in tune without a recourse, and you shouldn't needle guys with half witted jokes because they are honest enough to freely admit that playing in tune is not as easy as some would make it out to be, and not expect an honest reply.

You shouldn't fuel a simple difference in opinion in to a polarized and meaningless argument by offering insulting one liners unless you actually want somebody to point out the obvious as retort.

If you are actually asking... that's my advice.

Acting like a petty child about it will probably not make you feel any better... or maybe it will.

It's really up to you.

Did you write this pile of horse cack while looking in the mirror?

For a start, Karl is one of the most knowledgeable and friendly people who frequents these boards. Regardless of his excellent X2 video, he is always approachable and never fails to go out of his way to help anyone if he can.

And from what I can ascertain, he's as straight as a die and a pretty down to earth sort of chap.

He's also got a wonderful quality sadly missing from your character Mike - it's called humility. As well as an amiable nature that is comfortable to display a little self-deprecating humour - the ability to laugh at oneself once in a while. Contrast that to the way you faff about the place displaying a superiority complex so huge it's only eclipsed by your ego and the self-delusion you have in your own rather mediocre abilities.

Sorry to say it Mike, but the only faculties you seem to show any real proficiency in are passing out snidey and sarcastic comments at any opportunity in a desperate attempt to garner some attention and make yourself appear far more informed that you obviously are. And when somebody calls you out on it, you resort to the classic symptoms of a passive/aggressive bully, and try to portray yourself as the victim.

Before all this nonsense regarding X1, I used to really respect you Mike. Your opinions on various subjects were something I willingly sought out - remember when I asked you to take a look at those photographs I took on my visit to meet up with Ed and Jon a couple of years ago?

But you seem to have let your obvious distaste with the way Cakewalk are developing their product take over your whole character; it's like you've got something gnawing away inside you, but you've abandoned any recourse to sensible discussion on the matter and all that's left is a massive chip on your shoulder coupled with a constant and increasingly tedious stream of cheap shots and innuendo.

Frankly Mike, you've turned into a pompous, pretentious, arrogant bore.

And you used to be so much better than that.

That's unbelievable!!!

I remember when something like that happened in Winter Park and I have stumbled on very small and shallow (20' deep), fresh new vertical chutes while bush whacking out here in the woods...

...but the aerial view of that thing is simply astonishing.

Could/did anyone possibly survive that?

Cherokee looks right. I've also been all down in here: http://www.georgiaoutdoors.com/hiking_climbing/cave_climax_Caverns.asp

and to the bottom of this: http://books.google.com/books?id=moE21NhfMoYC&pg=PA26&lpg=PA26&dq=devil's+hopper+cave&source=bl&ots=CpggpxVfeA&sig=INY_d9Yb2f1Vu3YLosQ-3Vv9R0Q&hl=en&sa=X&ei=VR9qUL62FuPq2QX8j4CABQ&ved=0CCAQ6AEwAA#v=onepage&q=devil's%20hopper%20cave&f=true

There was no river down there. I had to squeeze through a really tight passage, I weighed about 120 pounds and it was really tight for me. When I got through there were sheets of "dogtooth" cacium crystals, of course I have some samples. Anyway, there was a huge underground lake down there. Thankfully it didn't go nuts of start flowing. My buddy fell down fromthe top into the opening, we has fingertip grips trying to climb out and couldn't hold on... we were invincable though. He didn't get hurt but I wasn't sure he was going to get out for a while there. IIRC, I got an old log and tipped it into the opening. Of course the only thing we had were a couple of flashlights and some weed.
