Show / Hide bus section

When in console view, it would be nice to have a button or tab and/or keyboard shortcut to show/hide the bus section.
The bus section may sometimes contain multiple busses with expanded pro channels, and to drag the divider across over the tracks is a pain most of the time, especially when working with multiple tracks, also with expanded pro channels within these.
This way we can instantly see the tracks or busses we want to work on by applying the keyboard shortcut, or hitting the button or tab.

Not all functions have a keyboard shortcut assigned to them, but you can assign one yourself. In this case the relevant function is "Strips | Buses".

Thank you Kev999 for the tip.

It would be great if this works like the track manager. The same keyboard shortcut (H) for track and console view ( shift + B) and it remembers the position of the busses.

Thanks Ken999. I'm quite new to Sonar, coming from Ableton which is pretty simple, so not sure about how to add that shortcut, but

Have you tried it?? Does it remember the position of the buses and pro channels etc? So in the fully dragged out and exposed position, it can be shown or hidden?

Peace :)

A few details to make it a little easier.
  1. It works in X3e Producer.
  2. It does not change the state of any prochannels (i.e. open = open)
  3. IIRC, the "Show View" uses the minimum amount of screen docked far right to show active buses.
  4. To set a kybd shortcut
    1. type 'P' to open the Preferences dialog
    2. Scroll down to Customization | Keyboard Shortcuts
    3. Under "Key Bindings", choose the desired shortcut key under "Locate Key" by clicking on it
    4. Select "Console View" from the  "Area" pulldown menu. (The default is global bindings)
    5. Scroll down and click on "Strips | Buses" to select as noted by Ken999
    6. Click on "Bind" to make it stick
    7. Click on OK or Apply and get back to work.
  5. Creating a ScreenSet is an option which might work as well. It can also be assigned to a kybd shortcut.

BTW, i managed to bind a single key to the show/hide bus command and to open/close pro channels, via preferences. As instructed above.
Thanks for your help guys. :)
Works a treat.
