Sidechain With Waves C1 in SONAR

I have read many articles that all but get to the point on how this is done so I just have two questions.

Is this possible?

If it is possible how? I'd like to do this with waves. I know that you just can't assign the send to the C1, been there and tried that. So all accounts on that being possible are false. You only see plugins native to SONAR show up there. (Sonitus and cakewalk plugins). That works fine. I want to do it with the Waves C1. If it is possible how?

    Load the VST3 version.

Yes, Waves requires the VST3 format in SONAR for sidechain support. Keep in mind Waves also does not support mixing VST2 and VST3 plug-ins in the same SONAR project. The sidechain should appear like the SONAR plug-ins.
