Silver Bells

I  thought I'd jump on the Christmas band wagon and post an epic collab we did last year right here on the CW forum.
I derranged an old classic and managed to screw it up real good and then got the help from some of our friends here to cover the vocals.

1st Vocalist: Robby Robbins
2nd Vocalist: Herb Hartley
3rd/4th Vocalists: Warren and Eva Willingham

Special guest "Brian May" on electric guitars...LOL

Yours truly on all the other junk.

:-) Sounds good Scotty! I'm going to start my 2011 Christmas song this week while I work on finishing one I've been doing for quite some time. Merry Christmas (pre-Halloween...) my friend!

All you need is love, just ask the Beatles?

    Cool.

For me this comes across as a catchy non-cheesy xmas song, which is exactly what you want to produce.

As per usual the  fiddle is beautiful, as all the melodies that run through the track.

It's too EARLY FOR Christmas MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We still have to remove a turkey and make a good meal out of that turkey, then we sing about it when it's really cold because we have nothing better to do!

    Just kidding!!!!!!!!!!

I like this tune, heck you know your great on your music, but what amazes me the most is the fact that I can hear the clarity between the various instuments.

Scotty, I must ask you once again, What equipment or software or programs are you using to record your music with? Are you recording this at a studio?

Are you using Cakewalk Software to record this with?

    Just wondering.

Whatever you recorded this with I enjoy this very much, it was very PROFESSIONALLY RECORDED.

    Excellent!

    Bobby

    Hey Bobby,
Glad you like the tune and the mix. I think the trick to getting clarity in all the instruments is in the panning, EQ and levels, regardless of the software brand. My software choice happens to be Roland, maker of Cakewalk. The singers all used their own software versions.

We don't do thanksgiving in the UK so now that Hallowe'en is over we're now officially on the countdown to Christmas... and this is a brilliant way to start on the first day on the way to Christmas.

Got me smiling, and tapping my foot along.

Really well recorded, fantastic violin playing (as always). Everything from all the artists has been glued together really well!

    Great job everyone!

    ENCORE!

    Cheers,
    Terry.

    Markybro,
Thanks for taking the time to listen to this l-o-o-o-ng song. The boyz & girl did a great job on their vocal parts.

Thanks Scotty, It sounds great and everyone involved in making this music were Awesome!!!

It's amazing how everyone can make a track using their own software and send it to someone and mix it all down these days.

AWESOME STUFF SCOTTY AS ALWAYS!!!!!  I hope somebody does "Jingle Bell Rock" this year : Hint to all on this project!

    Bobby

    Hi Bobby,
Yes, the technology is wonderful but to sew it together in a fashion where everyone sounds like they are on the same stage, it takes proper care with levels, panning & EQ and compression settings to make it all gel.

Jingle Bell Rock??? Coming up next!
