Simple Controller Question..

looking at a simple synth like the Roland Groove Synth..

I pull up the synth and control various filters via my m-Audio Keystation...  to browse patches I have to LEFT CLICK with my mouse when over the LED part of the synth and them scrool thru..

I would really like to scroll thru the patches to test
1) is there common controller knob or slider or key mapped to most generic synth patch menu's??
2) is there a way to scroll thru patches on the keyboard

what is/are quick ways to preview the hundred's of patches that I have avail on Sonar X1.  Thanks.

Most often there are L and R arrows next to the window where patch names are displayed, and you can step through the patches with those.
