Since Cakewalk will not port z3ta to mac, what is the best alternative? I would like to know your recommendations regarding an alternative to z3ta's sound character, NOT it's features.

So far the closest I've heard is from Massive, and Sylenth, can anyone recommend any other options?

Since Cakewalk will not port z3ta to mac, what is the best alternative?

    Buy a PC

Z3TA+2 is a great sounding synth - like it's caffeinated and on steroids....

Take the FX off Massive and it's quite pathetic and rather embarrasing...

Z3ta+2 makes Massive sound like limp lettuce

So cross that one of your list....

    Sorry - I don't use Autotune :)

No, sorry I'm not going to run Windows just for 1 synth that is not compatible.

No, sorry I'm not going to run Windows just for 1 synth that is not compatible.

But then you could run all of the other great programs that are exclusively PC......

Since they ditched the Motorola CPU,those 'spensif Macs are really just PC's inside anyway

I have everything I want already besides z3ta, so mentioning being able to run anything else besides it isn't really giving me more incentive.

there's stuff that's mac only that I wouldn't mind ported.. so swings and roundabouts. treat yaself to the recent synth1 finally out on the mac after years of being on the pc. http://www.kvraudio.com/get/214.html

Just incase anyone else has been trying to find an alternative for Mac... after much searching I've come to the conclusion that the ES2 in Logic has pretty much the same exact sound character and sound quality. Can't believe I over looked this one all this time.
