Skull Fogger Song and Graphic Laser Show (Halloween)

Hello Cakewalk/Sonar community My name is Ken aka DJStrick9 I wrote the lyrics, did Vocals and programmed the laser graphics. My friend Dave Produced the music He is an avid Sonar user. All of the audio for Skull Fogger was produced in Sonar. Dave has an extensive system and has convinced me time and time again that Sonar is an awesome way to go. Now i am a huge fan as well.

This is my first post in years I love that my DJ name is still here.

    pardon my web etiquette

My Name is Ken Strickland aka DJStrick9 though I have not gone by strick9 in sometime.
    My Business cards says
DJ, Music Programmer, Photo Booth Operator, Event Lasers,
Dance'Club Lighting, Voice over artist, Audio Editor, Singer,  Song Writer, Distance Driver.

I do Lasers for Events in the New England area but I travel. I generally do Beam style laser shows. This is my first graphic laser program which i did with pangolin quick show. We used one 15 watt RGB Laser.  This projection was on a garage door..

I do voices, vocals and remixes, bass baritone.

My Friend Dave Schults is a Guitar/Bass Player, Sonar based studio operator in sunny southern CA. Everything I know about the art of creating and recording music I learned from Dave.

We used to live up the street from each other in California he had an outstanding Production facility without a vocal booth and I had a vocal booth a u87 and would just wanted write songs. Or make noise or what ever. one time I beat up an electric typewriter with some drumsticks.  Good Times.

I hope this helps break the ice.

I am open for questions but also understand if the post just floats to the bottom of the page off into oblivion.

    Thanks Ken aka DJStrick9
cant tell you how much I love that you save my name for me.

You managed to put a good groove with a slick light show for our enjoyment.  It all sounds and looks very professional.  I assume this is ready for the club circuit because it was made for dancing.  Otherwise, just for listening and watching, it's a little long.  In this environment, I usually advice to keep the listeners wanting more than less.  All in all, top notch stuff.

    All the best,
    Lynn

Thank you so much for giving it a look/listen. I think we produced it mostly for our pleasure. Every year we try to do a project for Halloween. I post it on face book you tube and the like which brought me here. Years ago i would look forward to posting our songs on this board and a few others. I was living the dream. I will be doing lasers in night clubs. Prob not getting skull Fogger Played anywhere. I am just happy you heard it friend.

have not thought more about marketing accept what I am doing right now. Put it out there and see what comes back.

the creative side we have lots to offer the business of getting music out there for the public is not really a strong suit.

I am working on our Xmass compilation/laser show. Now. Which i will post here as well.

I will try to be a good member of your community
I know this means you have to listen as well as produce.

I wanted to post on this board cause every drop of audio was processed through sonar.

and Yup its a long one

within the song itself as the music comes back again and again could be looked at as the subject clinging to consciousnesses. Hoping for one more moment before the inevitable last breath.

    Or something like that.

    Peace Brothers And Sisters
    Happy Halloween

Cool stuff here. Looks as if a lot of time went into something you merely did for yourselves. Nice work on the Sonar mix!

Worked in production Radio TV, Moved to Hollywood twice.

Dave's resume is even longer he is an audio pro this is what he produces from home.

Our act/ creative entity was Historic Groove and/or, 3Q and/or Social Electric Network Dream.

We have written songs together for over a decade.( i am only willing to cop to one)

    This we do for ourselves.

    Pro skills are involved
but used in the most frivolous way possible.

If there is any interest around 3 p eastern standard I will get Dave to chime in. he is west coast and you never call him before noon. Thats how you know he is a musician.

He is a busy guy who works in audio
and you know I am lovin the lasers.

But tips on how to get heard are met with open ears.
