Slate FG-X Update

So I get this email from Slate Digital today
"We have a new update to the FG-X that we call 1.3, ready to release.
Windows users will find that a new 1.3 installer is in the Account right now"

When I log into my Slate account; no download.
Anyone else have an issue?

Thanks,
Tom

@ Zo
Haven't installed it yet. But here's what they list for crash fixes:
"We've corrected some instabilities in the audio and the host interface which should
solve most of the crashes and audio bugs!"
Fixed exporting preset bank crashes host bug."

Now this link is in the email, slatedigital.com/support, and it does say "for any problems, questions, or tech support etc."
But you go to users.drumclassroom.net for the download?
Does that seem bassackwards to anybody else?
Or is it just me?
I logged into "My Account" on the support page, browsed the knowledge base; whatever.

Carl,
I get it (I also got the download), BUT drumclassroom.net?
I don't have SSD, I have FG-X, I followed the link in the email...
I'm just ranting, thanks for listening.
But please, DON'T GET ME STARTED!
I feel better now, a little better.
Thank you Carl, you said it WAS in your account and that made me go back and figure it out.

NEW ISSUE! RESOLVED!
Does "This software requires updated iLok drivers" come up when you scan for the new dll?
Uninstalling iLok and FG-X then re-installing iLok and FG-X build 4175 fixed the problem.

Saving presets still doesn't work.

Bit buggy these Slate plugs!

Yes, Tom ... it requires a new iLok version apparently ... hopefully not that iLok2 thingy (which I totally don't understand)

I'd back up everything in case.

Hopefully this version ain't a dreaded CPU killer!

Re:Slate FG-X Update 2012/03/19 23:49:08 (permalink)
Thanks Philip

I've got a support ticket in at Slate.
I HAVE the latest driver according to the iLok website.
In the Slate knowledge base they suggest that you:
1) un-install the iLok
2) re-install FG-X
3) reinstall the iLok
When I tried to un-install the iLok, Win 7 wanted to know if I wanted to "delete" the driver.
I assume the answer is yes, but Slate didn't specify.
I'll wait for a reply.
I HATE buggy software.
The FG-X makes it easy to get a song LOUD pretty fast BUT...

Zo, iirc, I've never had a gui closing crash in my 2 month old 64bit version of 1.2.  1.3 may be another story.

The only problems I've had is when trying to save a preset in the FG-X itself; CRASH.
Just save in the VST dialog or whatever it is.

No crash for me on Save or Save As but it's still "protected" (i.e. cannot name my own preset).

audiodeluxe.com is having a 24 hour sales on this.  Likely won't get it for any less than what they have it for. need to register to see their prices.
