Slate Trigger 2: MIDI as trigger

Hi,
I have a Kick midi track which I want to send to my Trigger 2 plugin (I like the Kick sounds in Trigger 2)....
according to the manual:

Using MIDI Input, you can play TRIGGER 2’s internal sounds from a MIDI track, or external device, such as MIDI keyboard. To set up MIDI input, you need to turn it “On” via the check box, choose the MIDI Input channel and note in the Sepngs page. As soon as this is done, you can play TRIGGER 2’s internal sounds by rouVng a MIDI track or MIDI device to the track with TRIGGER 2 inserted.

I have checked the checkbox "MIDI In" - so far so good...but I can't figure out how to send the midi track notes to the audio track where I have the Trigger 2 plugin inserted. Is this possible in Sonar?

Not at the DAW but IIRC you set the audio track's input as the MIDI track.

Then again I could be entirely wrong on that and scook will be right behind me with the correct answer.

OK, I looked at a video describing the plug-in. I think this is a drum replacer which normally sits in the FX rack of an audio track. The plug-in can also send and receive MIDI data.

I will assume this means the plug-in needs some config to accept MIDI and has been done

The question is how to get MIDI data to the plug-in? They way to route MIDI to an FX plug-in in SONAR is
    1) use the VST2/3 standard header of the plug-in UI to "Enable MIDI Input"
    2) set the output of the MIDI track to the plug-in

    That did the trick. Thanks!!
