Slate VCC Bypass not automatable..

Most other parameters are automatable, but I can't create a Bypass envelope, even though the plugin has the control for it.. Is this a Sonar issue, or did Slate not create the code for that?

    Hey LJB!

I don't have the VCC - but might get it, everyone talk about it as if it is the new wheel or something

but I've noticed this with several plugins.  I see you have PT9, is it automatable there?

Hej ProjectM, I haven't used it in PT9 yet... Will check about that. But it is worth every cent IMO, and my currency is 10 times weaker than the Euro :O)

I probably have to take the plunge soon Perhaps I can sneak it in from the US?

Let us know how it fares in PT9, I'll be interested to hear about that. I've tried to bypass plugins in Sonar but didn't work. Same plugins IIRC could be bypassed with automation in Nuendo 3 (now on 5 and those doesn't exist here). but I'm going senile with things like that. If it doesn't work I'll move on and do something else to get what I want. But being able to automate the bypass would be very convenient

    Sorry to hijack:

Is there any negative performance with this VST in X1?  (Barring the CPU usage)

Is it working solidly?  no glitches or crashes etc.

Sonar prolly asks each effect for the param list and since it has never missed a trick in that regard afaik, I would say it's Steve's fault. Or that french coder bud of his.

Wait, Steves' the boss, It's his fault. :-)

No wait again! It's maybe by design. Why turn off the VCC goodness? :-)

As far as I know it is not a Slate Issue but rather a Sonar one. I have got many plugins that are not bypass automatable in Sonar but can be easily bypassed (automated) in FL Studio and Studio One. It is up to the host program to make available the required parameters that can be automated or not.  In Studio One a long list appears of parameters that can be automated and bypass is always one of the parameters on the list.

Really it is one of the most basic functions of using and automating a plugin and it should be a standard feature as it is in most other DAW's.

I have found no bugs in VCC (in X1c 32bit) - though version 1.5 got pulled back about 12 hours after release. It was quite cool, got an email to say "go get 1.5 with a new RCA console free", then a few hours later " err, nope, we don't like that build, please uninstall and go back to the previous version". I was pleasantly amused :O)

The CPU usage is negligible, even on my good ol Dual AMD. There's always Freeze in bulk, thanks to SonarPlus!
