For a reminder I put it in my cart when it was first posted at JRR for $0.00 Order Date: October 18, 2013 The release date still isn't set, then it's bugs & updates until it works smoothly. I'll wait for the holiday sale if I decide to get it...

why is it announced at JRR shop, but not at Slate Digital ? That seems strange to me....
I will most likely buy this, but i want to demo it first to see if it satisfy my taste.

They jumped the gun I guess, it was at Sweetwater in Oct. 2013 too. Seems it takes about a year from a Slate product announcement to it's release.

What's with all the "passing" going on here? Rejecting a plugin without at least giving it a demo? What kind of gear addicts are you people? VMR could be a real winner, IF they can match the sound of the latest offerings from the likes of UAD and IK. If so, it would be worth it just for the Neve EQ -- note that UAD's new 1073 will set you back a cool $299 ($149 if you already own the old one) and IK's version is somewhere around $100, depending on the phase of the moon. $149 for four top-class processors isn't a bad deal in my book. Now the question is ... WHEN?????? Cheers, Eddie

I'm interested in this for the zero latency, but slate has a terrible release record. I'd say pass for pre-ordering too, but I'd likely get it when released.

After all the freezes and crashed I had with the Slate VBC, I can't see them convincing me to buy any more compressors or EQs... They look nice though, so you never know!
