Slaving sonar to mpc 1000

Hey, is it possible to slave Sonar to the mpc 1000, and if so, how do you do it?

it is, but iirc, 1000's only do midi clock. you'd be better off slaving the mpc to sonar.

What's your setup so far? Have you decided to go with MPC slaved to Sonar? Or the other way around?

If you went with Sonar as the master (great choice) and MPC as the slave.. you open sonar

go to midi devices under options check the midi I/O where the MPC is connected.

Then open up the options menu again and scroll down to project and of course click on it..

You then have 4 tabs named Clock

    Keep this on Audio

You have a tab named Metronome

    Keep this on Audio

You have a tab named Midi Out

    Leave it alone

Then your last tab named Sync

    Click on Transmit Midi/Start/Clock/Stop/Continue

    and

Click on Use Start never continue

Then in your Midi Sync output Port

Click/enable your Midi I/O that is connected to your MPC

and when you click play in Sonar your MPC should follow..

Keep in mind to adjust your MPC settings too, Keep local control Off, and set to external Midi clock
