Sleeping patterns

What are your sleeping patterns?

I go to bed between 11:00 and midnight (Sunday thru Thursday) and I'm up 6am M-F.

I sleep as long as I can on Saturday and Sunday morning (in a feeble attempt to catch up). Every other Friday I have a day off. I try to use that day to catch up too.

In a perfect world I would sleep when I was tired tired (without regard to the clock) and wake up when I felt rested.

I completely lack anything reflecting a sleeping "pattern."
    Varies far too much.

    Not healthy, I think.
Better to be standard, and get 6-hours average, than get some 4's, some 3's and some 12's.
    I think.

However, I write some of my better tunes late at night, despite the slowness of the next day at work.

Same here. Dunno about it being 'very' unhealthy, living regularly is probably better, but as long as you get enough hours and are not fatigued all the time, I guess it's OK.

I only feel totally zonked when I've slept too long, strangely.

I'm on pretty much the same schedule, Beagle. I stay up a bit later, but I can't sleep in past 6 on the weekends.

2:51am... sleep pattern what's that? lol

I have a cold, maybe other UK folks have at the moment.. besides knocking me for 6, it's chucked my sleep pattern totally.

I get far more things done later, up till 3-4am sometimes, BUT then I have "work" work that I have to be up really early for, some days of the week

Only thing about this cold is, it's not like a normal one in the sense of you get the cold.. fight it.. back to normal.. yesterday I was sneezing, today not.. couldn't sleep.. today , well yesterday at 10pm slept till now, side result I got up a while ago.. oh well back to sleep I guess.

timing of it all has been annoying, I was supposed to meet someone later, I said I would.. and then changed my mind due to this.

some days I'm working on US time..

No later than 11.00pm for me or I'm useless next day, up at 6.30, maybe 7.15 on Sundays. The horses won't allow 'sleeping-in', they start drop-kicking the stable doors if breakfast is late.

Yes that would be nice, but work gets in the way

Try to be in bed at 11.30, but most of the time you all keep me awake a little longer , up at 6.30 in the morning.

I work at night (11p-7a). Generally go to bed at 8am but varies between 7:30-11am. Usually set my alarm for 8 hours after I go to bed, 9 if I feel tired. Mixed in with that is a separate cycle where I sleep fine for about 4-6 weeks, then about 4-6 weeks of unrestful sleep or constantly waking up before my alarm. If I feel tired in the evening or woke up early I will probably sleep for an hour before work.

Weekends are never the same depending entirely on what's going on. Sometimes I'll sleep during the day, others I'll revert to sleeping at night. Many Fridays I've stayed up and gone to bed Friday night without much problem since I have stuff to do and my body is so used to being awake during the day.

The 1st 6 months of night shift I made no attempt to keep sunlight out of my room (beyond the miniblinds on the window). The room was quite bright most days and it didn't really bother me. Then I moved by bed to a different room and covered the window completely and my sleep didn't change much. However, if I do wake up I find that the tiny amount of light from my clock and the smoke detector is enough to annoy me and keep me awake.

You can use me as your eSoundz referral (altima_boy_2001).

Average go to bed is 02:00hrs

Get up at about 09:00hrs when dogs wakes me.

This does not equate to 7 hrs of sleep as my good lady frequently disturbs me because of her medical condition.

Lucky if I get 4 good hours a night.

About once every six weeks body revolts and I have to have a lie in till 10:00hrs

If I have a sleep 'pattern' it's based on some non-recurring fractal formula based on chaos theory.

Now I shall have insomnia trying to work it out....

Did you hear about the man who went to the doctor and asked, "How can I live to be 90, Doc?"

And the doctor asked him, 'Well, do you drink, party, stay up too late, chase women, enjoy good food and generally have a good time?"

"No, sir, none of those things."

"Well then, why do you want to live so long?"

Now where did that come from?

Anyway, I get about 7 hours of sleep. Wish it could be less, but it can't...

ah....long for the good old days when I played music for a living......go to sleep somewhere between 3am to 6am depending on drive home..... wake up.....whenever.... just as long as I was onstage again at 9pm....nothing else mattered much.
