"Slide" feature does not move Automation Lane Events?

Hello Everyone,
 
I am facing an annoyance issue here in a project I worked long and hard on getting the automation just right for softsynth parameters and track volume.   I recently decided I had 8 bars in the beginning I did not want, so I deleted the contents and used the "Slide" command to slide all my clips and markers back -8 measures.   It moved all my clips and markers but not automation data.    I don't know how to get my automation data in it's correct spot.   Can anyone tell me how they work with moving automation data?
