Slidin' South

http://youtu.be/6FDSUJBn_1o

I lifted this drum part from a live performance by converting the transients to midi, added some midi bass and played on top. Hope I'm on the right track in the mix department...

It's always a joy to see someone who can play a mean slide guitar, and you did just that.  I enjoyed this very much.

    All the best,

I thank you for that Lynn.

I know it's a simple trio type mix, but I am curious how it translates to all your ears and systems, getting the bottom end right seems to always be my big challenge.

+1 for Lynn's comment. Excellent playing!!!

I never could get the slide down. I can't see the frets to know where I am. I have 3 huge dots on my guitar. 7th, 12th and 19th frets. I still miss the mark sometimes.

    Very well done!!!

Very cool video... fine performance  & nice touch...
I use a pinkie slide too... some of my favorites use their ring, or bird fingers... Danny Gatton used a beer bottle over hand... and sometimes a mic stand... good job on this...

Ok I'm feeling pretty good now :), even loved the crack about my shirt.

I do want to say I've been starting to look and listen to some of your work in here. Loads of talent lies within!

    Thank you.

Decent tone, even with the store bought slide on the pinky.

Lol yeah one day I'll have to invest in a bottle of ripple, some twine and kerosene, then I can put an edge on it.

Thank you. I got tuned into that fretting behind the slide from Sonny Landreth. Since I play slide in standard tuning, it opened up my world.
