Slightly quirky Windows 10 behaviour.
Hi Everyone.
I have just changed my Studio PC ovr to windows 10 and have discovered a slightly quirky behaviour. I have projects set up for live use that use 16 output channels assigned to an X32. Runing Sonar on windows 7, these projects load correctly. If I load the same projects into the same version of Sonar on the windows 10 machine with only the 16 outputs active in audio devices, it tells me that all of the tracks that were assigned to the last two (15/16) are assigned to silent hardware. If, however, I load them with an extra two outputs active (17/18), even though there is nothing assigned to them, the tracks assigned to 15/16 load correctly. Once the project is resaved under Windows 10, this behaviour disappears and the tracks load correctly without the aditional outputs active.
Both the windows 7 and windows 10 machines have just had clean installs, and all drivers are up to date. I tested both Ipswich and Jamaica Plain updates, and the same weirdness ocured in both.
Easly solved by resaving the project so not a big deal and am loving Win 10 thus far. I just wondered if anyone else has encountered anything like this on Win 10?
Cheers:)
Bruce.
