Ok this is the twin to the track Don't Mean Maybe.  It's a love song about the French girl I fell in love with, I think she loved me too but it was way too complicated.  We still talk to this day through the various digital means.  I still cry when I talk to her, she runs as fast as the wind, like me.  That is why I fell in love with her, that and her wild red hair.  We were true Celts.

The track combines my penchant for The Beatles, King Crimson and The Door's.

Oh and James YoYo, this is for you, you said I couldn't write two tracks in the same genre, this is def the same genre as Don't Mean Maybe-WEIRD.

Love You

Always an interesting experience listening to your stuff Ben. This is really cool and odd. I like the offbeat sometimes so very well done!

Notation, the original DAW. Everything else is just rote. We are who we are and no more than another. Humans, you people are crazy.

Thanks mate it's time to get to work, this is 5 years old.  It's so hard to get down to it though but it's coming.  I'm still stuck on The Beatle thing and I have a great idea for a cover of Across The Universe, my favorite Lennon song perhap's, ahh there is to many.

    Song is interesing.

That is a good reverb on th vocal. Works well.

There is a bunch of overmods/distortion on the vocal that must have happened during the recording.

Yea james, it was recorded using a 90$ preamp into unbalanced socket, so there is bound to be distortions.

But I read through the lines your impressed, its hard to make a good singer sound bad even with a 90 dollar preamp and 150 dollar microphone, hey James???

Dont worry I have a 1000 dollar pre amp now and it does sound like it's sister song Don't Mean Maybe another of your criticisms and no the mix is crap from you either.  Hell must have frozen over.

Thanks for listening James, I am stirring you, we have got past all that silly **** and we are now ship mates on the good ship cake.

Amd thanks Lynn as Jim Morrison said "did you have a good world, enough to base a movie on?"  Hell yea, but I write visual music Im old school, I come from the english tradition of art school so I tend to paint music.  My music is more in Pink Floyd style where you can see it as you listen, you get me drift.

PS I'm creeping back to life, my nervous system all awry, this a Richard Wright Pink Floyd line meaning since I got rid of the unhealthy people out of my life I am ready for new work, this is over 5 years old and my friend who I wrote this for today told me how much she missed me and that she loved me and we had a bond that could never be broken.

we havent seen each other in 5 years but there is an unspoken love between us.

But I am ready for new work, I have a real cool idea for another Beatles cover this time Across The Universe, then I've got to get back to writing.

This is pleasingly deranged Ben! I agree with James, that's a great vocal sound/ambience. The mix is really nice actually, crisp and clear. Very creative, I liked it.

Well this is pleasingly deranged lol thanks James.  I actually remixed this last year when I rediscovered the hard drive that was not working started working.

So I thought I'd lost this song and it's sister song Don't Mean Maybe so I was glad when I got it back.

This was mastered with my beautiful A2 TL audio mastering compressor so that's why it stands up.  No matter what anyone says and me included a 2000$ stero mastering compressor with built in eq and dial in tube harmonics is soo much better than any plug mastering.

I'm saying this because I have the original master remember this is 5 years old recorded on a 90 dollar par amp and unbalanced input (the bass and the vocals) but look what can be done with a propper compressor and a bit of know how.  Also the TL Audio gets the yuck statement from some of the pro's around here but for pop and rock I don't think you can beat it.

If I remember correctly I used perfect space plate reverb hey cake this needs an update nobody gives this verb any street cred yet it's top notch.

It's also important to know how to use a verb ie the settings.

I'm saying this because of the compliments I have revived about the reverb sound.

    Thanks for listening

    Love neb

I like this offbeat type of stuff. I really like the voicing changes on the "Your love it hurts/burns" sections. It reminds me of something I can't quite put my finger on - Sparks maybe. Anyone else hear that?

Interesting song though and certainly original.

Thanks FBB, it's just my Jim Morrison voice or my crooner voice, I can slip between my head voice and my bass voice.

    Nifty trick though.

Hey Philip, haven't you been reading what's been going on in the coffee house, you might be better off saying I suck!!.

Apparently according to Jeff Even's my music is terrible, I know nothing about mixing and mastering and I am living in the past!!!

Anyway thank you Phillip, I've decided to stop being a pure musician, I don't belong in the music world too many rules.  I'm going to do fine art but I have some excellent ideas for music.  I feel liberated now I'm not constricted by peoples ideas of right and wrong when it comes to music

    definitely something completely different!

I would like to hear a little more instrumentation, tho, not just the one synth and percussion.  and a little more "meat" to the lyrics.

but - this is your creation - I'm sure that's what you wanted and that's OK.

    just my opinions tho.

I don't know what to say about this other than I think I will now need therapy.

An interesting look into your psyche.
