Slipperman - a must read studio diary

This is a cross post from Jay at yourmusicforums.com - if you are interested in mixing, you have to check this out!
I'm not sure how many of you are familiar with this guy.. But I just totally dig him. He's an old school AE that has a studio in NYC (I believe).

In my opinion, most everything he writes that is in a serious manner is a MUST READ. He knows his stuff for sure. I hope to one day have 1/10th of the understanding he does within the craft of AE.

He also has some 45 minute'ish narratives on that site (at the very bottom) where he talks about many different aspects tracking, Audio Engineering, the studio, the industry, etc. I suggest you download and listen to those as well.

He also uses my 2 new favorite phrases:

Primary Sound Transduction Artists = Musos
Secondary Sound Transduction Artists = AE's

BEWARE: He is an pro audio engineer. Expect foul language. Lots of it.
