Slow Response While In Piano Roll View

Hi Guys,

Just a quick question. I was using Piano Roll view last night to program a drum track, and towards the end of the track, everything seemed to be crawling. Tracking Audio has been working great.... In your opinion do you think this is CPU related, or am I not using the program right. What I have been doing to get the drum track I want is;
1. Select a sample style
2. Copy part of the track that I want and paste about 10-15 (repetitions) it into a new midi track.
3. Open in Piano roll view and edit.

Is there a better way? I'm very new to Midi.

Thanks in advance.

    Does he mean perhaps the styles menus for Session Drummer?

    But you might want to track your tempo map, and see if that hasn't been slowed down.

    I spend a lot of time in Piano Roll view composing MIDI demo tracks (laying down ideas) for my synth, but I've never encountered what you're experiencing. *shrug*

    Do you have a generous amount of RAM or the minimum required for SONAR?

    Yes all runs fine in normal track view, but piano roll view was really slow. When i would switch back it was fine. ????
    And yes I am copying parts of the sample drum styles.

    Or it could be a graphics card issue.

    I once experienced something similar.  My graphics card died and I replaced it temporarily with an old low-spec (32MB) one that I happened to have lying around.  While using this card with a 24" 1920x1200 monitor, editing Sonar's PRV was painfully sluggish, although everthing else in Sonar seemed to work ok.
