Sluggish interface - 3hrs project- 8 tracks

Hello.

Suddenly my SONAR's GUI became sluggish. It is slow to respond (and I see the "rolling wheel" every time I am scrolling up/down my 8 track project in the TV...)

I only have about 10 Console emus, 8 Waves c-4 and a couple of PC processors in the session.

Started to happen when I duplicated my four original tracks to add audio to the timeline for the 2hrs to 3 hrs portion. (different persons on the on-cam interviews...)

Anybody else experienced this ? I do not have any video file and I have worked on quite larger projects before, without encountering that problem.

Thx

Yummay,
Amuses-gueules sonores
Bite-sized sounds and harmonic entrées

Yes and no, if you have lots of clips, try bouncing them into larger clips once you have them time-aligned as needed. Sonar can sometimes get sluggish with lots of clips.

Are any of the audio sources on an external or slower drive than the rest of the project?

Think i have narrowed it down... Project involved à couple of hour-long AIFF files coming from a FINAL CUT session. I had splitted these stereo files in Sound forge 10 before importing them into Sonar. I just tested direct importation in Sonar and the gui remains prime! Meta data or other stuff related to Forge's saving process maybe? Also had an out of memory error when importing another short audio file saved in FORGE...
