Smart Swipe Undocumented Feature?
I noticed you can use Smart Swipe in Track view or Console view to select channels, but I didn't find that mentioned in the documentation. Did I just miss it, or is this an undocumented feature (sort of an "anti-bug")? Or maybe I'm the only person who didn't know this?

It was a feature just added in a recent update, I assumed they added it to the documentation too

Sorry, have to ask, because I'm a bit confused by the question and the answers (and don't want to miss a potentially hidden gem ): What do you mean by "channels"? You don't mean "tracks", don't you?

Thanks, John. Well, if you open SONAR X3, you'll see why I asked... Best, Klaus

I recall selecting multiple tracks in much older versions (pre X1) by running my mouse down the track numbers. This of course is in the TV.

Consoles only have Channels. Therefore, when in Sonar mixing console view, you mix using channels. When in the Sonar Track View, you are using tracks only.

As John pointed out, swiping through track/channel strip numbers to select a contiguous range has been supported for a long time. I would wager it goes back at least to early SONAR versions if not earlier. I use it frequently. You can also use Shift+click and Ctrl+click on track numbers to add to or subtract from the selection as you would in other contexts. There have been some issues with this in the recent past related to having hidden tracks or tracks in folders, especially when sweeping in the Console view, but I think those issues have all been ironed out at this point.

Hmm.....I thought Craig was talking about being able to select tracks by swiping the blank areas (not track/channel numbers) across the strips, which I also noticed recently (but I'm not sure if it's indeed a new addition), but it only works in CV, while Craig says "Track view or Console view."
