Smart Tool limits

I would like to add a Pref. for what other Tools the Smart Tool can represent.

Problem: The Smart Tool can at times make it difficult to auto-select what function you wish for it to provide at an instance.
For example, since adding Speed-Comping, the Smart Tool has become increasingly difficult to use without zooming in further than before. It's relatively easy to erroneously Split a set of clips when you'd prefer to select a piece of a clip instead.

Answer: Allow me to check/uncheck boxes in a Pref. for what other tools the Smart Tool can use or not use. For example, I don't use Speed-comping, so I'd like to disable the Speed-comp Tool from being available and active in the Smart Tool.

Sometimes the Smart Tool can be a bit too smart?

Thanks!

Brian

I got x1 still so have not tried speed comping and I am pleased with the smart tool, but your idea sounds good to me.

I definitely agree with the OP. Customizable mouse commands would be a nice perk to this.

I think this is a great idea. To further expand on the idea, Sonar could allow users to make customizable smart tools that they preferred for different tasks. So instead of just changing/limiting the smart tool, you could actually leave the smart tool as it is and have extra custom smart tools that you could choose at any time. What do you think?

Would renaming the idea Custom smart tools might get more traction than limiting smart tools?
