This is nice. The strings are muddy, but I think that's more to do with how you've played/programmed them. Sounds like too many cellos, not enough violins. Better later on. Were you playing block chords on a keyboard? That's a sure fire way to get synth string mud.

Interesting piece though, I like it, especially from 3 mins through to the end.

very interesting, almost modular, but always one foot in the past before transitioning to the future.  so typically eph, and so typically pushing yourself to be creative.

Are the strings a single voice or are they a mix of different voices David?

Enjoyable listen in an experimental way, thanks for sharing.

    I really like this David.
Personally, I like the drony string/choir(?) sound through the earlier section.
Needs a video to go with it

I enjoyed your composition.  As far as the mix being muddy - it didn't sound too bad to me.  It kind of sounds like a vinyl track, if that makes sense.

Very Interesting composition David and enjoyed the Avante Garde approach to this.

Now you can take my input with a pinch of salt but normally when I have a thick pad/string instrument I cut a bit off the bass end using EQ, but don't go too mad as it can make the pad/string sound anaemic. Another way is if you are using two sound sources go a little bit wider with the panning as this will open the middle to create room for the other instruments.

I will echo what @biodiode said above. You can do a lot with EQ and panning if you want to un-muddy the overall sound. But I liked it anyway, although I don't really know the words to describe this kind of music. Avant Garde for sure. :)

Most of the harmonies are wagnerian which by now are pretty mainstream.  Thanks all for listening!  I realize my sequencing skills need improving. I can't tell you how good it feels to have my music listened to.
