Snap Settings are not working GLOBALLY?

Hello,

Quick question here... everywhere I read, the SNAP TO settings are supposed to work globally.   I am in Track View and they do work in the tracks when moving around clips but NOT in Piano Roll view!

Do I need to check something?
Thank You,
Adam

I should also point out it works when drawing in new notes but not when stretching notes or moving them in PRV view.

Are you using the SonarPlus or Sonar Helper from Benstat.  There is a utility in there that gives you separate Snap settings which many wanted.  If you are using that it may be the reason that is happening.  The default X1 is for a the same setting for all views.

EW (Platinum Orchestra, Hollywood Strings, Pianos, Gypsy, Fab 4, Ministry of Rock,Choirs, etc)

There will be several Snap Settings bug fixes in the coming X1b update.

The snap settings are currently screenset dependant.

If you want a stronger snap set the magnetic strength to "off" found in Preferences->Customization->Snap & Nudge. You may need to check the advanced option to see those options.

Try setting the Snap to setting in Preferences(P) - Customization - Snap and Nudge - Snap to Move to and Magnetic strength to Off and see if that works.

THANKS EVERYONE!   Turning the magnetic strength off did the job... but I thought that is what Magnetic Strength does (from reading the manual)...

It did work though!!!!  THANK YOU BOTH!

Yeah it's a rather bizarre set up where "off" is actually fully on and high is low and low is high and well..... you get the idea.
