Snap To- problem

Recently, I upgraded to X1 expanded, and yesterday I started doing some extensive MIDI editing in the PRV. I set the snap to value at 1/16th triplet. When I did a drag and drop move, the value changed back to 1/16th. I reset it to a triplet value and quantized a section of music, and the snap to value reset again to a straight 1/16th note. I tried changing the view to show 1/32nd grid lines, and after moving a few notes the grid lines disappeared. I reset the view to show grid lines at 1/32nd resolution, but they disappeared again after moving some notes around. Is this normal behavior, or is it only happening to me? Thanks in advance for your replies.

All the best,
Lynn

No, in fact, I had to turn it on to get my clips to snap to their location, which caused the resolution to change from what I had it set at.
