"Snap to scale" doesn't seem to work..

i dont think these are supposed to work when you're playing live... but when i record audio it doesnt snap the audio to scale after recording.

I just started using my roland gk-3 pickup to sequence and it would be nice to be able to scale-quantize some of the ghost notes.

would be even nicer if this worked live...

The term "snap to scale" generally refers to edit operations on PRV or staff views. There is a midi plugin that constrains notes to a chosen scale during playback and is actually effective during live MIDI playing and recording (but is non-destructive, meaning it leaves the notes as they were). Such a feature is not offered at all for audio in Sonar. How about the Melodyne DNA.

Find the midi plugin by inserting in the FX bin of the midi part of the inspector for your midi track; I don't remember the name of the plugin, but it may be part of "transpose".
