Sneaky Super Quiet Improvement in SPlat?

There was a case in the past where I had to use WaveShop to convert files from one type of wave to another that was supported in Sonar or the ending of the file wouldn't show up or something.
 
Tonight, I recorded for almost 2 hours and I didn't have that case. Does import audio now work for all the different wave formats?
 
Just curious. I was happily surprised that I didn't have to use WaveShop. It could be that the files were just short enough to work out. But, here's to hoping!

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

    What different wave files are there beside wave and broadcast waves.

    As for other file formats like MP3 flac etc, Sonar has always converted them on the fly if you used import audio or if you just dragged and dropped from Windows Explorer.

    Am I misunderstanding something.

    RF64 support, a large wave file format used by some products instead of W64. Did RME add W64? I did not know RF64 was added to SONAR. Or was the file small enough to still be a 32bit wave file?

    Dragging up this 2 week old thread to confirm, Cambridge just added RF64 support, no more need to convert before importing.

    Also SONAR has traditionally imported Sony's W64 format for files over 4 GB.

    Yes, we discussed this at length before when this problem first came up. The source of the data only produces RF64 files which needed to be converted before importing into SONAR.

    BTW, the source of the data is my RME using DigiCheck. Noel also has an RME so he  could benefit too if he ever records a really long time without hitting stop. :-)
