Snowfall
Hi, Watching the snow falling today in Manchester I was inspired to improvise this piece of piano music. It could possibly do with being tidied up a little but I thought it best to try and retain a feeling of spontaneity. I've set it as a free download so if you like it, you know what to do! Unsurprisingly it's called Snowfall ;-) https://soundcloud.com/purplerhapsody/snowfall Enjoy! Cheers, Terry.

Really terrific, Terry. This song has a beautiful melody and a ton of dynamics which helps build and release the tension of the song. This has to be one of my favorites.

To me, one of the most beautiful sounds is a solo piano played with feeling, and this certainly qualifies. well done.

Thanks again to everyone who's listening to this. It's just gone into the SoundCloud Piano chart at #18 so I'm really chuffed with the response. James - wow! I've made enough of an impression on you with my music for you to have an opinion on it in general! That's made me well chuffed! Thanks. Glad you like this one too. Herb - thanks, I appreciate it. For a minute I thought your sentence was going to end "...played with feeling, and this is nothing like that" ;-) Cheers, Terry.

I haven't had the opportunity to hear such great mood music in eons. Wonderful stuff, Terry!

I love your piano solos too. I like the name too. Mine by that name, though, was composed and recorded, and then it came time to name it...I stood up and looked outside and it was snowing. :) Anyway, you're just oozing with talent. Thanks for blessing us with it. :)

Hi, Thanks again to everyone for listening and commenting (on here and elsewhere!). Scott - thank you, really pleased you like it. Janet - Naming pieces is difficult - it's very rare for me that the inspiration for a piece bears any relation to the final work. Anyway, I'm really glad you like it - thanks! (Although the phrase "oozing with talent" conjures up a weird mental image!) Thanks again, Terry.

Very nice PR! Last night we were just lazing around by the fireplace with Windham Hill selected on Pandora, two glasses deep into the Malbec and thinking – this is really perfect. Sometimes I forget how wonderful a tastefully played piano coupled with a simple but pretty melody can be. This piece has that quality to it. Several nice themes in there – my favorite is the opening one. Great job – will listen again when we break out the cabernet !

Totally appropriate, it has been snowing here since I dragged my self from the pit this Am and it still is now at 18:58 CET (That's Central Earth Time) Thanks for sharing your very talented skills
