So Damn Lonely

Hey Guys!

This track was done by TrevM on iMusicScene.com. He asked for someone to toss some vocals on it. So this is what I added real quick. Some errors in there but I was on a time crunch. The music he did was so impressive to me I had to jump on it.

Impressive song and I really liked the vocal you put on it. You have a great voice and it fits the music well. The mix was good. The only nit I have is that it sounds like the overall volume was pushed so much that there not much left in the way of dynamics. There were spots where I thought the vocal needed to be a little more prominant but overall it really sounded good. Nice job!

    Dazed,
Nice tune, good job on the vocals. The mix is a bit more squashed than I prefer and the constant hi-hat on the left side got a bit distracting after a while (headphones), but of course could be just my preferences. Nice chorused guitar sounds during the quiter parts. Nice ending. Vocals delivered with passion and feeling, good work.

Dazed, yeah, the guitar work on this song is excellent - very nice shredding, great harmonies, etc ...
You've put in some very nice vocals, which, unfortunately, seem to get drowned in the heavy shredding especially during the chorus. I'd tame the guitars quite a bit - have them run down these riffs far more in the background. This would free up some space for your vocals, the bass (which I barely heard) and also the drums (which seemed a bit dry and too soft in relation to the guitars).
All in all, though, a very solid - wonderfully performed rock tune! Good job.
    Heinz.

Terrific guitars in this song. Well constructed song, good arrangement. Good mix. And, not to be overlooked, really solid vocals as well. Excellent work by Trev and Dazed.

    Thank guys!

I talked to TrevM today. He said he was keeping the pubs busy over the weekend heh! He liked the vox I put on here and Warren Peese is going to do some drums on it. So with that, it looks like I will redo the vocals again.

Great suggestions all. Once we have a remix I will post it up.

Appreciate you guys taking the time and posting some feedback!

    Hey dazed, what's happening?

Your productions are getting better and better. I remember you from the old forum you started. Production values on this song are really good...though your vocal may be buried a bit by those huge guitars. Mind you, I'm listening on headies so my perception could be a little tainted.
