So I bought Rush's Moving Pictures...

 ...again

This time in DVD-Audio HD/surround:
http://www.amazon.com/Moving-Pictures-Deluxe-CD-DVD-Audio/dp/B004MOMT2M/ref=sr_1_3?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1304790804&sr=1-3

I'm not sorry as I can never get enough of this album.

In order, then, to discover the limit of deepest tones, it is necessary not only to produce very violent agitations in the air but to give these the form of simple pendular vibrations. - Hermann von Helmholtz, predicting the role of the electric bassist in 1877.

Sign held by a fan at a Rush concert: "If I loved a woman like I love this band, I'd still be married!". (From Neil Peart's book "Far and Away")

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

I just celebrated my 20th wedding anniversary at the end of April (4/27) ... and my wife has endured every Rush tour since ca. '89.  Starting sometime around Test For Echo we started seeing both legs of every tour (unfortunately we only caught one leg of the Time Machine tour which opened with a video featuring the band Rash).

She always tells me it's a great concert because there is no line in the ladies room.

I think I'll have to play some Rush tomorrow before taking Mom out for dinner.  Yeah, that sounds like a plan!
