So, I found a cook book

So, while in DC, in China town.... my daughters found a store..... Lots of clothes kind of a place.

Stepping inside.... standing at the theft deterent electronic detection system was a rasta man, and a DC Police officer.... obviously they were both on duty. Standing there talking. The entire time we were in the store.

The staff was about equal male/female employees.  I really think they all dated males.... well.... I mean, at least the guys.....couldn't speak for the ladies in there.....

OK so I was quickly bored....and in my wanderings around the 3 levels of this store following my family and observing the freak show going on all around me..... I spied a book counter..... AHHHHH... perhaps something here will distract me for a few minutes while my family looks at sunglasses, shoes, and dresses......

YEP.... the titles of the books were just as strange as the people in the store.... UNTIL I SAW THIS TITLE>>>>

And yeah... it has more recipes than simply frying BACON in a pan.... it had hundreds of recipes AND...PICTURES too.

All too soon, they completed their purchase and we were out the door, leaving the rasta man and the law enforcement officer to their still ongoing conversation.

Since your guys were looking to get blamed in the DC thread--with the power invested to me by my keyboard, I hereby blame Beagle for this book and Bapu gets Honorable Mention (or was that Horrible Mention).

May they both utilize the power and respect responsibility of this declaration.

Congrats to both Beagle and Bapu for their recent awards.  I hope that someday, I can aspire to be one of the forgotten masses who shop at the same Walmart as the dogwalker who cares for the Chinese Crested Pug owned by the guy who drives a blue Prius (with flames painted on the front) past an Ikea where they sell a chair that is similar to one owned by the daughter of a security guard who naps at his desk with a newpaper that contains a story about a fledgling peregrin falcon that looks similar to a bird that was seen flying in a movie about cowboys that showed horses that looked similar to the mascot of the Appaloosa Falls Middle School where one member of the chess club has a locker with a combination that includes two of the numbers of the phone number of the bait shop in Port Aransas run by a guy with the same blood type as the cousin of the guy who stood in the same line at the DMV as Bapu.

I know.  The odds of that ever happening are too remote to mention.

Maybe you could start by getting in line at the DMV.

    Baby steps.

I'm very confident that such awards may well be in your future too, Bubba.  Particularly, the Walmart one.  Maybe we'll see you on the People Of Walmart web site or the e-mail of the "highlights" some day.

    No.  His brother Janice.

Interestingly enough, their mother, Mr. Bo Jangels, later said that she probably should have paid less attention to her dancing when choosing names for her kids.

Ok, had a look... was just curious...

Maple/becan ice cream, chocolate becan cupcakes...

Oh, and better yet, a lawsuit over the idea for that book...

Recipes overall seem very "high-end" for the most part.

Perhaps better, and more down home might be James Villas' The Bacon Cookbook.

Yeah there were some "creative" recipes in there... not the normal fry up some bacon and slap it on a burger kind of things.....
