Hi Bapu, its a fair question, as it is fair to laugh at as well. With Cakewalk now being sold, to a guitar manufacture and with Tascam in the frame, Cake will be lucky to get any more of my bucks until I see how this acquisition pans out. It's worth the question!!! Ben

Unless they told you the purchase included a free upgrade you would be foolish to assume that it was included.

Why would you expect all the new features/plugins/enhancements for free when the rest of us have to pay for it? Speculation was rife a month ago that either X2B or X3 was in the pipeline. You should have waited a bit.

The upgrade last month was only $50. You already have this advantage over users who upgraded earlier, and now on top of that you want X3 totally for free??

Yeah well this is basically what happens to me every time I upgrade my phone for $200. A shinier new version is released just a couple of months later and I experience intense pangs of regret...nothing you can do about it and it happens to everyone. And even if I wanted to shell out another $200 for the new version I couldn't, because with phone contracts you're only entitled to the "cheap" upgrade price every couple of years or so - I'd have to pay over $600 for a new handset at full price. At least with Sonar you can upgrade when you like.

I also bought X2 a few months back, but I think it's also good to remember that when we actually decide to purchase a product (any product), we already know (or at least should know) that "this is what I want and this is how much I'm willing to pay it". Anything else will be the result of wasting money on a product in which we're the only ones to blame for not doing our research prior to buying it and thinking it through. Kind of like looking up and spitting. If you don't move........
